Do I really need 30 million yen in capital?
For new applications from October 16, 2025, 30 million yen or more is required in principle, and you must be able to explain the source of funds.
Is a virtual office acceptable?
In principle no. An independent office where business can actually be conducted is required.
Who must meet the Japanese requirement?
Either the applicant or a full-time employee must meet N2 / CEFR B2 level.
How long does screening take?
Generally 1 to 3 months; the whole process from company formation is about 3 to 6 months.
